Thanks to popular demand the name of this project is now “BuyItLikeYouMeanIt” (I’m still not sure if there are spaces in that when it’s typed). To help us decide on this new name we opened the process up to an online survey. Did you miss your chance to vote? Email me to be added to our announcements list. Here is a concept sketch that Catie is working on. Nicole and Raj are both hard at work as well. But that is by no means the end of the process! On June 3rd we’ll ask for public comment on logo choices! So email me your own logo images by June 1st and you might win the prize!

Woohoo!

Yeah, so we got a lot done on our Sprint Design Contest weekend! The Dev-flock have been on the case. And I think that everyone involved had fun.

For the competition kick-off I fixed up some documentation on the wiki and put together a presentation to ramp up the contestants…er, contestant. Gus donated Toscanini ice cream for the cause. Oh, but that is not even the best part! Best of all, we picked up a solid frontend contributor. A friend of Clay’s, Eggar, is volunteering his professional web skills to give our prototype a real layout and user interface. Since he was the only person to actually fulfill the competition’s aims, we selected him as our winner. Having the backend and frontend covered by two great workers is a load off my shoulders. The prototype took longer than my original estimate of a couple months, but now we are really rocking.
