Clay and Lucy in costume

Lucy and I after the July Somerville Arts festival. In case you were wondering what we looked like after a hot afternoon of handing out fliers and dancing behind a 5 person bicycle (while wearing black feathers and sandwich board signs.)

The festival was fun, with a green theme. And boatloads of people. Izzitgreen.com was there. I also saw them at an MIT fair a few months ago. And their President sent me an email yesterday. So maybe we’ll get together and see if our organizations can cooperate.

I’ve already been meeting with Stephane from Citizens Market for some time to figure out how to collaborate. Stephane asked me to be on their Advisory Board and we’ve been quite helpful to each other. It’s funny to be cheering for them even while we’re competing so directly for users and funding.

Here’s a Monkey At Large blog article that mentions all of the Boston efforts to give people socially responsible product information community. Not everyone sees the value in cooperation, but I think that it’s inevitable. So we’ll just ride out the initial wave of competition and hopefully all of our “competitors” will be as willing as we are to share the information and users and even organization that our services are based on.
