Thought And Memory signs the Capetown Declaration - Signs up with Curriki.org
If you're new here, you may want to view the multimedia in the left sidebar, as well as subscribe to the RSS feed. Feel free to leave comments, take the survey and send us email. Thanks!
ThoughtAndMemory.org’s user generated educational content is freely available (so is our open source Community Information Platform). By signing the Capetown Declaration we have joined a global community of educators and organizations in support of this movement. Go team!
Open source software, music sharing, and wikipedia have shown us the power of distributed cooperation. Open Educational Resources, like ours, are the logical next step. It’s a good thing too, because teachers need all of the support that they can get.
Curriki.org is a growing online community of Open Educational Resource development. This spring and summer, we will be using Curriki.org to collaborate with teachers from different states and countries. Our goal will be to create lesson plans to assist students in applying ThoughtAndMemory.org’s online tools for research and peer evaluated publishing to discover and support their own socially responsible interests.
